The U.S. Frontier Brigade is composed of reenacting units from Kansas, Missouri, Oklahoma, Texas, and Arkansas.  It is one of six brigade that compose the First Federal Division.  These brigades are; the U.S. Frontier Brigade, The Army of the Pacific, The Western Brigade, The Army of the Ohio, The Indiana Brigade, and the Cavalry Brigade.  The First Federal Division and the Army of Tennessee are the two Divisions which together form the North/South Alliance.
